516d2f35-27d5-43b5-a0fb-bb16c1c385e6-244480The purpose of the task is to develop a standard design for the MS4 accessible cantilever gantry superstructure to satisfy the following requirements: - Provide support for a standard MS4 Variable Message Signal (VMS) in accordance with the Version 3 specifications - Provide support for a number of ancillary items listed in the attached Annex A. - Provide safe access from the verge to the signal and ancillary items while the network is operational ie an accessible gantry. - Be supported on a scheme specific substructure in the standard verge layouts on Smart Motorways. - Designed and certified in accordance with DMRB with full technical approval from SES for use on the network. - Provide sufficient supporting documentation for scheme designers to adopt the superstructures as part of their overall works information. - To engage with the structures fabricator community to produce Value Engineered solutions to inform the next stages of central procurement of standard products.
