38f9a9b6-66b3-483e-817f-cc39f3f73271-220206This Memorandum of Understanding enables Natural England and Natural Resources Wales to continue to meet their statutory duty to provide fire prevention restrictions under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act (CROW) from April 2018 to March 2019. The Met Office will deliver the data and website display of the Fire Severity Index on a daily basis for the next year, which is used to decide when fire prevention restrictions may be necessary to suspend public access under the CROW Act.
