It is used to send all our internal communications (weekly ICbulletin, Chief Executive's blog, departmental newsletters) and external communications to targeted groups of residents and stakeholders. Having a platform allows the council (comms and trained bulletin reps from services) to get high volumes of targeted messages to a large number of internal and external audiences very quickly, which is especially useful in emergency situations.
