8636754b-25e1-49d1-a1f0-bedadf8e5a36-787206Essex County Council ("ECC") is seeking to commission an external provider to conduct Care Act Assessments to enable ECC to deliver its statutory duties under the Care Act and effectively manage the current demand for assessments.\r The successful bidder will be required to undertake Care Act assessments to determine whether a person can establish, maintain or improve their wellbeing, and to consider whether a person or a carer has care and support needs. The assessments will be conducted under a strengths-based approach in line with ECC's practice, details of which will be provided through the mobilisation period. In addition, it may be possible during the final months of the contract that a request will also be made in some circumstances for a carer's assessment to be carried out.\r Prospective bidders are advised that the assessments will be subject to a two-stage quality assurance process, whereby the provider must conduct a quality check per assessment prior to submitting the associated documentation to the Council which will conduct a quality assurance process. Please note that full details of this process will be provided within the specification.\r Further details regarding the Council's requirements for this service can be found within the service specification which will be published on the Council's e-tendering portal, ProContract and can be accessed via:\r https://procontract.due-north.com/\r Please register for a user account to gain access to the procurement documentation for this opportunity. The Council envisages that this procurement will be published on the aforementioned e-sourcing portal on Friday 14th June 2024.\r In addition, please be advised that the budget for this service as stated in section 1 (estimated and highest contract value) relates to the full contract duration of 19.5 months.
