fb51545f-8a10-49d1-88ae-de376e85b1fd-238162Highways England is looking to procure technical consultancy services to work closely with the Calibration & Optimisation Team to develop team capability through coaching and mentoring calibration engineers and managers. The service is specialist and requires technical and operational knowledge of smart motorway calibration and optimisation, MIDAS and HATMS. For smart motorways to work effectively speed and flow thresholds need to be determined and congestion seed points identified. There are a number of techniques and tools available to monitor and calibrate smart motorways. The task will ensure the Calibration and Optimisation team are able to effectively calibrate smart motorways configured as All Lane Running and Dynamic Hard Shoulder.
