47ae014d-7708-4d14-a69c-16c985fff5f3-163387NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) serves a population of more than 635,000 people and is responsible for commissioning Primary Care Out of Hours Services for the patients of Gloucestershire. The CCG wishes to re-procure this service and invites Expressions of Interest from qualified and experienced providers. The CCG is seeking an innovative and Value for Money (VfM) service (or services) which will deliver high quality out of hours care to patients registered with practices within Gloucestershire as an integral part of the wider urgent care system The aims and objectives of this service are to: • To be the point of contact for the Primary Care Out of Hours service. • To provide primary care out of hours urgent care for those patients who cannot reasonably wait until the in-hours primary care service is available again. • To provide a clear local patient care pathway which integrates and collaborates with the major health and social care providers in Gloucestershire. • To provide telephone and face to face clinical assessment. • To provide urgent medical cover out of hours to inpatients in community hospitals within Gloucestershire. • To support, where clinically appropriate, the admission of patients seen during the OOH period direct to Community Hospital Beds. • To work closely with the local provider of Extended GP Access (known as Choice Plus) to ensure alignment and integration across the OOH and Choice Plus Services and maximise productivity across both services. • To provide enhanced levels of clinical advice to patients and HCPs (including Paramedics) The above list is not exhaustive and full details of the required services will be outlined in the service specification. Bidders should be aware that existing staff groups may be eligible for TUPE transfer under any new contract let. Estimated 10 month contract values for the service are between £5.3m and £5.9m, (these values are for guidance only and formal figures will be provided in the tender documentation). NHS Gloucestershire CCG intends to award a new contract for a period of 10 months. The CCG plans to incorporate the option of a 12 month extension within this contract. The CCG is considering its wider urgent care strategy and plans to offer a longer term contract from 1 April 2018 via competitive tender. Organisations interested in providing this service should request a Memorandum of Information (MOI) and Standard Selection Questionnaire (SSQ) by contacting Paul Wilkinson, Procurement Specialist, NHS Gloucestershire CCG at paul.wilkinson2@nhs.net no later than 5pm Tuesday 18 October 2016. Competed SSQs must be returned no later than 5pm, Friday 21 October 2016.
