ce9673b7-7e1c-49ab-8a8e-853a34847c70-122558NHS England South (South Central) (the Commissioner) seeks to commission a Child Health Information service for Bath & North East Somerset, Gloucestershire, Swindon, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. This procurement is being carried out by NHS South, Central & West Commissioning Support Unit (SCWCSU) on behalf of the Commissioners". The Commissioner is looking for a single provider to deliver a high quality service across Bath & North East Somerset, Gloucestershire, Swindon, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. The aim of the Child Health Information Service is to ensure that each child in England has an active care record, supporting delivery of the clinical service, as a minimum, screening, immunisation and the healthy child programme services. It should enable the health promotion and failsafe activities for clinical delivery to be carried out in a timely way. These records must be held within a secure information system, which meets appropriate requirements for information governance and IT security for managing personally-identifiable data within the NHS, and must be supported by an adequately resourced team to record and manage the relevant data. The aim of the contract is: • Maintain an accurate, up to date child health record for all children (including Looked After Children) resident, schooled or registered with a GP within the relevant area. • To fulfil the processing of data returns and statutory reporting requirements of NHS England and PHE and to track progress via the indicators detailed within the Public Health Outcomes Framework and the NHS Outcomes Framework. • To maintain the child health record to reflect accurate and up to date information about that child in accordance with the statutory responsibility for child health record keeping that NHS England is required to fulfil. In particular, the Provider shall communicate effectively with other CHIS providers and relevant services in a timely fashion when children move in or out of the area, ensuring that the child's record is updated and the relevant health professionals are informed. • to support Maternity, Health Visiting, School Nursing, LAC and Immunisation Teams and Primary Care in the collation and distribution of immunisation schedules and developmental review schedules in a timely and efficient manner. • to recording accurate and timely data in respect of all programs encapsulated by the Healthy Child Programme The contract duration will be 4 years and 3months - Berkshire area contract will commence on 1st January 2017 followed by Bath and North East Somerset, Gloucestershire, Swindon, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire which will commence on 1st April 2017. The contract will expire on 31st March 2021. Please note it is essential that the Berkshire area contract commences on 1st January 2017.
