551e1a69-051f-41ca-bf4f-e793dc200462-159551The project site consists of three separate locations situated near Selby, namely, Location 1: on A63 Selby Bypass, Location 2: On East Common Lane and Location 3: on A19. Location 1 and 3 includes plane and inlay work on circulatory carriagway on two roundabouts. The type of work in general, comprises plane off existing carriageway and Inlay with new asphalt materials. Carriageway treatment width is between white line to white line. Hard Strip on both sides of the carriageway will be planned and resurfaced with 50mm HRA. The treatment on A63 Selby Bypass includes Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer (SAMI) to be placed on top of the Base Layer before laying the new asphalt layers on top of it. After planning off the existing asphalt layers, the condition of the cementitious Base layer must be checked for cracks and cracks more than 20mm width has to be treated as per the Specification.
