21e03287-c503-4e34-8ea6-f0719f602e0c-191359The Advanced Mission Planning Aid (AMPA) is a computer based Mission Planning System (MPS) used by Typhoon, Tornado, Hercules Storm Shadow, Hawk TMk1 and TMk2, King Air and Tucano aircrew to plan, rehearse and debrief airborne sorties. It is considered Mission Critical by the operators in enabling training and operational sorties at UK Main Operating Bases (MoB's) and in the deployed operational Theatre. The Air Platform Systems Team, part of the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to let a new, single source, Qualifying Defence Contract (QDC) with DXC Technology, for the Provision of In-Service Support and Post Design Services for AMPA; for three (3) years (1st April 2018 - 31st March 2021) with a one (1) year irrevocable option period (1st April - 31st March 2022).
