b798b705-69bb-426a-87d4-ab6e35fc57fb-907674This Research is to commission an independent evaluation of the new Legal Support grant programme, which will be managed by the Access to Justice Foundation on behalf of MoJ. This evaluation is fundamental to the purpose and delivery of the programme and MoJ legal support policy. It is proposed to run from July 2026 to March 2029, with a budget of approximately £1million. The MoJ aims to create a legal support system that is more effective, efficient, and sustainable. 'Legal Support' refers to a broad range of assistance that helps individuals understand and resolve legal issues. This includes, but is not limited to, access to information, early legal help, community-based support and digital tools. This system should empower individuals to resolve legal issues as early as possible, understand their rights and options, and engage confidently with services to suit their needs. .
