To conduct a programme of work on the Weybridge site to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation on the operation of containment facilities. Focus in 16 / 17 will be on the animal facilities, moving to the laboratory facilities in 17 / 18 under a different contract. This PPAF covers a series of work including upgrades of buildings to comply with Home Office regulations for animal welfare, upgrades to air handling systems, new power provision and implementation of new safety and management systems (including several critical HSE recommendations).
