7b5250a0-f44c-412d-ae1b-b71f54e995a8-89102The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills are looking for an organisation to help us complete discovery work to describe and analyse the functions and services currently provided by a subset of our Public Bodies. This work will define a digital strategy and roadmap for transition to an agile digital collaborate organisation. One method of approach suppliers may adopt will be ‘value chain mapping’ leading to the definition of the blueprint for the organisation, provide insight into the services and capability for the organisation(s) and in turn inform the future Department operating model. The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and its delivery landscape is changing. Through a large change programme, BIS 2020, we are developing plans to become cheaper, simpler and better. We have committed to reducing our operational spend, our headcount and also the number of Public Bodies we have to deliver our policy agendas. Policy and delivery will be more closely linked and all associated services (and underpinning processes, technology and teams) will be more streamlined. The proposal should include: • Producing a blueprint or map for one Public Body organisation based on user/customer information and analysis of the service(s) it offers, we are considering Wardley Value Chain mapping. • Analysis of the capability, maturity and scalability of the services provided by the organisations • Identifying common services delivered within the organisation • Defining future central service design principles the Department may adopt for the future when transforming and/or setting up new organisations This is a time bound and priority piece of work, which should commence as soon as possible and is expected to last a period of 4 weeks. Additional information: As part of the strategic alliance between UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) and Crown Commercial Service (CCS), UK SBS can use the CCS eSourcing Suite for future procurements. If you have not yet registered on the eSourcing Suite, this can be done online at https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk by following the link ‘Register for CCS eSourcing’. Please note that, to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so. Your email must clearly state: the name and reference for the procurement you wish to register for; the name of the registered Bidder; and the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email. Crown Commercial Service will process the email and then enable the Bidder to access the procurement online via the e-Sourcing Suite. The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done. The Sourcing documents can then be accessed on the eSourcing Suite at: https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk using the instructions detailed in the Specification documents within Contracts Finder. As a user of the e-Sourcing Suite you will have access to Emptoris email messaging service which facilitates all messages sent to you and from you in relation to any specific RFX event.
