20040630-6f8a-456b-80af-30d93cd06dd8-122618ORE Catapult has the objective to develop a state-of-the-art rain erosion test facility for wind turbine rotor blades. This test facility will include a "rotating arm" rain erosion test rig to research the fundamental science behind rain erosion on wind turbine blades. To support the development of this test method, the test rig must be sufficient in design, functionality and operation to simulate reproducible rain erosion test conditions that are representative of the operating environment of offshore wind turbines. Ideally, the rain erosion test rig shall have been designed and built specifically for wind turbine rotor blade applications. The supplier shall be expected to provide all necessary expertise, personnel, materials and instrumentation to design, build, install and commission a rotating arm rain erosion test rig at the ORE Catapult test centre in Blyth. Additional information: The Rain Erosion Test Rig Contract Notice has been published on Public Contracts Scotland Ref : OCT261579 and in OJEU Ref : 2016/S 207-374429.
