88e2c67e-fa4d-44df-8120-65b7a4d2d7ad-90741Tata Steel Works in Port Talbot, Llanelli and Llanwern are due to scale down production resulting in 750 direct employees and sub-contractors being made redundant. Redundancies are scheduled from June 2016. South West Wales JCP District has identified a need for a group based training programme to support TATA Steel’s 750 employees/sub-contractors. This will be divided amongst two centres: SOUTH EAST WALES – Llanwern area (expected 112 participants), and SOUTH WEST WALES – Neath, Port Talbot and Llanelli area (expected 638 participants), to deliver sector skills and awareness and effective job seeking skills for those sectors.
