8d21270a-671b-4564-89bd-08eb2b686e26-132649This research will help HMRC to better understand the needs of the 'upper end' of small businesses as they grow and their transition to mid-sized business; and as mid-sized businesses seek to become larger and potentially, more complex businesses. This research will also enable us to identify where these specific businesses turn to currently for support and the opportunities available for additional support businesses need at key life events, such as taking on additional employees, increasing turnover, undertaking research and development, and starting to trade internationally. This study will be used to help inform options to aid growth by developing our understanding of the challenges posed by the tax system to businesses as they follow their growth journey . Additional information: This contract was let following a mini competition within the DWP Social and Economic Research Framework 2013
