49d6a287-bfa1-4588-b7bd-89fcd9402b06-92000KCTMO is considering the future of a number of communal heating plants which serve residential estates. Rather than automatically replacing or upgrading the existing systems KCTMO is taking the opportunity to look at all the options; to establish a "best value" long term solution for each plant. This will involve looking at capital and operating costs and also much wider criteria such as sustainability, reliability, flexibility and security. KCTMO is looking to appoint an innovative consultant who can objectively review the sites included in this programme and prepare option appraisal reports. KCTMO is specifically looking for a consultant who can challenge the existing systems and creatively look at how the long term solutions can be introduced. Subject to the satisfactory completion of the option appraisal reports KCTMO may, at its sole discretion, extend the commission to a preparing feasibility reports for one or more of the sites in the programme.
