7afa29ab-35c1-4f50-9d2d-c794b8ecee8a-872767Runnymede is a relatively compact borough in the County of Surrey with a population of approximately 80,500 covering an area of 7,804ha. The Council's land and property assets are diverse. Runnymede Borough Council (the Council) owns a commercial investment property portfolio principally comprising office, industrial and retail property investments leased on commercial terms. Along with operational assets across the borough. 1.1. The delivery of the corporate property strategy covers all aspects of the portfolio to bring best value through improved asset management (investment portfolio), cost management (corporate portfolio) and supporting the organisation in ensuring assets support the wider community objectives of the Council where appropriate. 1.2. The Council also owns properties which support operational delivery e.g., offices, community centres, pavilions, a depot which are held in support of wider Council initiatives and / or to provide a larger land ownership for longer term redevelopment opportunities or to bring forward other socio-economic benefits. 1.3. The strategy was developed in-house; however, it is anticipated advice will be required to implement the strategy to maximise the returns of the portfolio as the Council looks to the future of its holding. 1.4. The services requirement of this specification and the tender process are to be instructed on a call off basis, as and when required by the Council, this contract places no obligation on the Council to instruct or purchase any particular service. 1.5. The Council invites responses for the provision of this requirement in accordance with the terms & conditions, and the terms as set out in this document. 1.6. The Council is conducting this further competition from the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 compliant framework Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Framework, RM6168 Estate Management Lot 1: Total Estate Management in order to appoint a Contractor to best meet the requirement.
