69e5205d-9eb8-482d-8675-977e63dcf398-197854The current emergency caretaking service expires on 14 January 2018. The service is now being procured to identify a service provider for a period of 2 years with a possible extension for one plus one year depending the development of the new service model. This service will be provided under an Enhanced Service Agreement and therefore any bidder must be the holder of a current GMS (General Medical Services), PMS (Personal Medical Services) or APMS (Alternative Provider Medical Services) contract. If an APMS Provider, the APMS contract must have a minimum period of four years to run from 1st January 2018. During the Enhanced Service Agreement period a new long-term service model for the RHN residents will be developed by commissioners. The service provider will be expected to work alongside the clinical and administrative staff of the RHN. In order to support this, the specification for the service has been designed to include responsibility to collaborate and to promote better integration of primary medical services with the acute care provided by the RHN. This caretaking service-commissioned with a focus on: • Preventing avoidable A&E attendances • Patient centred End of Life care • Prescribing • Patient records management It is expected that the provider will work with Wandsworth CCG and RHN to develop the service model for future contracting arrangements. Wandsworth CCG (the Authority) is therefore seeking to identify a suitable provider of Primary Care GP Services to undertake this contract in Putney based in the premises of the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The Enhanced Service Agreement will be for a period of 2 years - the initial contract period will be from 15th January 2018 to 14th January 2020. The indicative annual contract value is £133,865 (Ex VAT): please see tender documentation for further details. The Enhanced Service Agreement can be extended further, annually until 14th January 2022. The extension is subject to agreement from Wandsworth CCG (the Authority) on behalf of NHS England (the "Contracting Authority"). Additional information: This Tender process is being managed by North East London Commissioning Support Unit (NEL CSU) on behalf of NHS England (the "Contracting Authority") in connection with a competitive procurement exercise that is being conducted in accordance with a process based on the Open Procedure under the Public Contract Regulations 2015 ("the Regulations" (as amended)). The services to which this Procurement relates fall within the "Light Touch Regime" (LTR) governing procurement of Health, Social, Education and Other service contracts. Neither the reference to "Open Procedure", "ITT", "PQQ / SQ", the use of the term "Tender process" nor any other indication shall be taken to mean that the Contracting Authority intends to hold itself bound to any of the Regulations, save those applicable to LTR provisions.
