ec2506d9-282d-4ec5-b432-7f2e9907340d-762404Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority wishes to employ a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake part of its environmental monitoring activities. The Authority has responsibility for environmental monitoring and maintenance of seven closed landfill sites, and one household waste recycling centre, and undertakes periodic monitoring at all of the sites. The Contractor will undertake the gas and aqueous (groundwater and leachate) level monitoring of the sites. The seven closed landfill sites have been fully restored to a combination of public open space, private nature reserve, and arable farmland. MWDA hold the necessary certification and management systems to operate those sites that fall under the remit of the Environmental permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010. The Contractor will be expected to operate in accordance with the procedures and policies set out within these requirements.
