7d673ed8-d990-4c84-82d1-2f14868a61af-237843Great Western Academy (GWA - the client) is a new secondary 11-18 academy for North Swindon which is due to open in 9.2018. It will open on a phased basis, admitting 150 children into year 7 and 80 into year 12 in for the first year. The appointed supplier/s will therefore need to be flexible with regard to the expansion of the services provided as the academy's occupancy grows during the duration of the contract term. The client's vision is to create an outstanding academy that radically improves the life chances of its learners. Students will experience excellent teaching and learning across a comprehensive, flexible and responsive curriculum which meets the needs of all learners and has particular focus on business, enterprise and computing / IT. They will develop social and interpersonal skills, all within a professional, safe and caring environment. Catering services and cleaning, washroom & pest control Services are being tendered as separate Lots, and Suppliers are welcome to apply to bid for either or both Lots, which are therefore: Lot 1 - catering services - estimated annual turnover of between GBP 75 000 (year 1) and GBP 125 000 (year 3); Lot 2 - cleaning, Washroom & Pest Control Services - estimated annual turnover of GBP 90 000. Bids for each Lot will be assessed on their own merit. The Academy intends to select between 3 and 5 suppliers from the SQ process to participate in the full tender process. The contract for both lots will commence on 1.9.2018 and will be for an initial period of 3 years, with the option to extend for 2 further years on a 1 + 1 basis. Facilities and catering services at the academy will play a crucial role in supporting this vision and the client seeks services partners that share this vision and can demonstrate a track record of delivering these outcomes. Suppliers are required to ensure that documents are obtained and returned to The Litmus Partnership Limited, by email to pqq@litmuspartnership.co.uk by the above closing date and time. Documents in respect of economic / financial standing (where indicated in the Selection Questionnaire) shall be returned to The Litmus Partnership Limited, by email to pqq@litmuspartnership.co.uk by the above closing date and time. It will be the Supplier's responsibility to obtain any necessary documents in order to submit a response by the closing date and time. The contracting authority reserves the right not to award any or part of the contract which is the subject of this Contract Notice and reserves the right to terminate the procurement process at any time. The contracting authority will not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in tendering for this contract opportunity. The contracting authority will consider variant bids, evaluating them (so far as the variant or the evaluation of the variant is in the opinion of the contracting authority practicable) on the same basis as a conforming bid, but shall not be obliged to accept any such bid in preference to a conforming bid even if the variant bid scores more highly. No variant will be considered unless the bidder simultaneously submits a conforming bid.
