094c478e-91bc-4411-8946-8c108e049310-823831To provide the work and health coach support service (direct work) for eligible participants (working age adults) as part of the Wigan Locality Delivery Model for the DWP Funded WorkWell Programme. Work Well is a collaborative approach programme between Wigan Council and GM ICB NHS also working alongside our VCFSE, Local Employers and Work & Health support providers. The WorkWell Programme will: • WorkWell will provide evidence-based, low intensity work and health assessments that support individuals with their low-level occupational health needs and to overcome barriers to work. • WorkWell will prioritise intervening at the earliest possible point, as evidence shows this is the most effective way of helping people to stay in work or go back to work. • It is expected that the majority of people who will benefit from WorkWell are those in work with health barriers putting their work at risk, and those recently unemployed with health conditions. • The service will also, crucially, sit at the heart of the local work and health system, connecting together the wider support and services available to meet participants' needs.
