6e814c6c-bc13-4c63-870f-244f925623ec-190577Essex County Council (ECC) is looking for suitably experienced providers to deliver a county-wide Essex Lifestyle Service. Key themes of the procurement will be to work closely with the voluntary sector to provide integrated social prescribing, and an individual lifestyle support service. The provider will work specifically with clients from disadvantaged communities and certain population groups in order to initiate the action required to encourage and enable those individuals to improve their health. The service will also concentrate on reducing the number of people in Essex who smoke as a result of the Stop Smoking Support Service. This will be achieved by: - Achieving an agreed number of people who stop smoking - Targeted delivery of services - Acting as lead provider for subcontracted services including GP's and Pharmacies - Providing stop smoking education - Working closely with Acute Hospital Trusts - Providing training, advice and equipment - Contributing to a multi-agency approach focussing on tobacco control and the reduction of smoking prevalence. - Taking account of recent changes in behaviours, increased use of E cigarettes and adopting a harm reduction approach The contract duration will be 5 years (60 months) with a maximum available budget of £2.3m per annum. This tender will follow an open, single stage process with a contract commencement date of 1 April 2016. Expressions of interest must be by way of sending an email with your organisation name in the subject title field to 'email2workspace-prod+ECC+WS553460081+p6zo@ansmtp.ariba.com' asking to be invited to this event and providing your contact name and Supplier ID/User ANID from your Ariba registration details. 2. If you have more than one registered user who you want invited to the event, provide the name(s) of each registered user in your request as it may not be possible to include additional users at a later stage. 3. If you are not registered in Ariba at all, go to 'http://ecc.supplier.ariba.com/ad/register/SSOActions?type=full' and follow the instructions to register then follow steps 1 and 2 above. (PLEASE NOTE: 35% completion (i.e. mandatory fields only: organisation/user details, commodity, sales territory) is the minimum required for your Ariba cloud registration, you do not need to reach 100% completion.) The supplier portal will be used throughout the procurement process, and all communications with Essex County Council relating to this procurement exercise must be via the supplier portal. The supplier portal has instructions on how to use the system and access the information as well as a helpdesk to assist Bidders. Essex County Council reserves the right to cancel the procurement exercise and/or not to award all or part of a contract. Essex County Council will not be responsible for any costs incurred by Providers in relation to this procurement exercise.
