c078a36e-9645-4eac-9508-4ef278748eec-787362The existing gas line is not suitable due to the numerous leaks which continue to occur over the past two years at the establishment. Additionally, unnecessary cost is expended to operate temporary boilers in place of the primary gas not functioning properly, and the establishment also needs to increase their supply of gas to account for the new line. These improvements will bring: Gas Main Replacement: -Total replacement of the existing gas line system within the built environment of the Establishment (i.e., site wide). -Increase the gas supply to the Establishment to prevent boiler lock out A constructor has been appointed for the design and build of the project. This is a two stage Design and Build Contract let under the PPC2000 (Amended 2013) Form of contract. The original estimated value of the contract was calculated by MOJ, and its Cost Consultants following desktop and non-intrusive surveys and was based on information reasonably known at the time and arrived at via a thorough and appropriate methodology. The first stage will involve the constructor providing Pre-construction surveys and design services at a cost of £428123.
