db3a265d-ca6b-4b45-85a6-01733a86af72-116782ISAS is the HSCIC independent appraisal function for all Information Standards Collections and Extractions (ISCE). ISAS are responsible for critically assuring the stages of ISCE development and compiling recommendation reports for consideration by the Standardisation Committee for Care Information (SCCI). The scope of ISAS extends to programmes of work internal and external to the HSCIC that are developing national ISCE. ISAS currently assure that • Information standards are fit for purpose and can be implemented, • ISCE support interoperability between systems and offer net reductions in clinical risk, net stability or improvements in patient safety, • (through review) Department of Health (DH), NHS and Social Care information standards are appropriate and consistent.
