This is with the remit of maximising funding opportunities and to deliver high quality infrastructure. The purpose of setting up a 12-month Active Travel Technical Support Commission is to expand the Active Travel Hub's capacity/capability in supporting the WMCA's Local Authorities on design assurance for CRSTS(City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement) schemes. This will ensure compliance with grant conditions. A team of technical support specialists graded against role are required with a creative engineering viewpoint. The longer-term plan is that these skills are established within the core team and TfWM therefore require the upskilling of the current team to be a feature of this commission.
