804ae71c-941f-471b-b833-7d8df569164a-194277Blackpool Council is looking to appoint a single provider to deliver background support for adults living in two extra care housing schemes in Blackpool.Extra Care Housing is available for people over the age of 55 years who have a care or support need which is affecting their ability to live independently. Both schemes have self-contained rental apartments and communal facilities. Blackpool Council's contract with the current provider is coming to an end and we wish to appoint a care provider to provide 150 hours of care per week at each scheme and a nightly sleep in at each scheme. The care element provided in these schemes is generic, and will be available to all residents within them including: frail elderly, mental health, sensory disability, substance-misuse related needs. Background care and support staff should be on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in case of an emergency and to supply ongoing background care such as welfare checks
