3b794183-917d-48c2-bc66-cefd47227a69-104267The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames (The Council) invited organisations with relevant experience of providing Advocacy services to submit bids for the above contract on behalf of Adult Social Care and Kingston Clinical Commissioning Group. The requirement was for four types of advocacy: Care Act 2014 Advocacy Independent Mental Capacity Act Advocacy (under the Mental Capacity Act) LD / MH Advocacy Appropriate Adult Advocacy All four types of advocacy were tendered as a single contract. The contract commenced on 1st April 2016 and will be for a period of 3 years, with an optional extension of up to 2 years, to be exercised at the Council’s discretion. The tender process selected for this contract was an Open Process, meaning that suppliers submitted responses to Suitability Criteria to assess their competence and capability to deliver the contract at the same time as submitting Tender documents to determine how they would deliver the contract.
