Defra would like the contractors to scope possible routes for delivering the model (by engaging closely with Defra) and provide a recommendation based on how well the options identified align with the below aims and objectives. These options should include, but not be limited to: • Delivering the model objectives as additional features in the Scenario Modelling Tool (SMT). • Delivering the model objectives using existing Excel-based tools for net zero analysis owned by the contractor. • Delivering the model objectives through a new, bespoke model. This project was awarded by DEFRA.
