7bcbd219-eebd-427f-b72c-a8f9875c5c2a-806887The Isle of Wight Council (The Authority) invited Tenders from Potential Suppliers for the provision of an Electronic Care Solution for the Isle of Wight Council's internal care homes- short term reablement care homes, community outreach (domiciliary) and long term learning disability care homes. To be awarded to a sole supplier under the Digital Social Care Records Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) Framework Agreement via Department of Health and Social Care. The Authority requires the provision of a digital system covering four different areas of digitalisation including a care planning tool /system for short-term respite and reablement care home services and long-term learning disability care homes service. The system needs to have a person's pen picture, care and support needs, any risk assessments and tools for staff to complete on a daily basis, for example, diary notes, fluid charts, care interventions. Digital Reception that acts as a visitors' book for people coming into the care home services including staff and giving all visitors the chance to comment on their visit by a quality assurance survey that they complete on their exit. The system will all support the 'roll call' in the event of a fire. Electronic Medication recording (e-MAR) that is linked to the care planning tool that will list a persons medications and will give the team the chance to record what medication is given and the actual time it is administered and finally, an electronic rostering system for the domiciliary care service that will schedule the visits staff will do for people in their own homes along with displaying an simple pen picture of the person being visited and any risks that visiting staff will need to be aware of. The system will also provide a safeguard to staff for lone working as well as have the ability to produce reports to demonstrate the performance of the service. The full specification can be seen at Appendix A within the tender documents. The initial term duration will be three years with the with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months in 12 month sections at the sole discretion of the Authority. Additional information: Please note that the value and duration referenced are for the initial term of the contract which is three years. If both extension provisions are utilised (2 x 12 months) then the full duration could be 5 years (up to 12 January 2030) and the additional value will be as per the initial term annual cost, with the ability to be increased by no more than that year's CPI. This is likely to be in the region of an additional £58,464 if both extensions are utilised.
