011015-2025The service provides a level of community-based direct access non-obstetric ultrasound (NOUS) activity outside of the Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC), as part of an integrated, single NOUS pathway, alongside the CDC. The aims of the service is to aid early diagnostics to be undertaken closer to home; improve access to diagnostic testing; and avoid the need for unnecessary referral to secondary care.
