016668-2025The Regional Information System for Oncology and Haematology (RISOH) is critical regional system for Northern Ireland Cancer Services. The system provides invaluable information for clinicians in the monitoring and planning of patient's cancer treatment. Varian Medical Systems provide 24/7 maintenance and support for the RISOH system. If this system is not supported and maintained there would be a significant risk to patients' welfare and no electronic method of recording the patient's cancer journey. Business Services Organisation previously direct awarded £624,777 to Varian for for RISOH Support and maintenance. It is our intention to complete a further Direct Award to the value of £550,000 (exclusive of VAT). We wish to enter into a Contract until 31st March 2029. It is expected that there will a replacement system in place by the 31st March 2029.
