058928-2025Individual placement and support (IPS) is an evidence-based model of supported employment. It has been rigorously trialled and has consistently outperformed all other tested forms of support for job seekers with severe and enduring mental health problems. The implementation of IPS has been part of the NHS Long Term Plan and preceding strategies for national mental health improvement for over 9 years and is a fundamental part of the ongoing transformation of community mental health (CMH) services. This Direct Award is for a 12 month continuation of IPS services across BSW, whilst a competitive procurement (to include expansion in to Primary Care) is undertaken in 2025/26.
