In 2019, Telford and Wrekin Council declared a climate emergency and made a public commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030. There was also a wider commitment that the borough become carbon neutral by 2030. The Council continues to support this through a wider Telford and Wrekin Borough partnership including organising an annual Partnership Conference.
