072630-2025Contract details notice for Seren Academy Evaluation – Contract Ref: C087/2025/2026. The Seren Academy is a Welsh Government programme designed to support the aspirations and ambitions of the brightest learners in Wales, helping them to reach their academic potential and succeed at leading universities. The programme provides opportunities for learners to develop super-curricular skills, experience university-style learning, and receive tailored guidance on higher education pathways. Welsh Government commissioned an evaluation of the Seren Academy to establish a baseline of performance, review the logic model, analyse existing management information, and make recommendations for monitoring and future delivery. The evaluation will explore the impact of Seren on academic achievement, equity of access, and learner engagement, as well as barriers and enablers to participation. The research will inform policy development and programme improvements, ensuring Seren continues to support fair access, social mobility, and improved educational outcomes across Wales.
