062813-2026Wigan Council are seeking a suitable contractor to arrange the Solus (by hand) delivery of approximately 147,000 calendars across the Borough of Wigan. The calendars are area specific since they inform residents which bin to put out on which day for their individual property, reflecting the bin collection rounds. Wherever possible, the calendars consolidate a number of collection rounds, where the same bins are collected on the same day in the same area (albeit by different collection crews). At the time of tendering there are approximately 18 different calendar types with different collection days (Tuesday to Friday) and different date sequences for the different colour bins. The number of properties covered by a calendar range from approximately 2500 to around 13,000 properteis Rounds that cover large apartment complexes and rural properties are excluded.
